Yes, it’s true what the title says. Zoe just got her ears pierced yesterday. My mom, my aunt, and my sister were with us when she got it done. Aww, my poor baby cried so loud! We even got it on video, but I don’t want to upload it up on the Internet for the whole world to see. I don’t want Zoe to hate me when she gets older.

The only method of soothing that stopped her from wailing was breastfeeding! I am telling you, I am so grateful that God designed woman’s breasts to not just nourish your child, but to also soothe them. After nursing her for a couple minutes, she was back to her old cheerful self. She was even smiling!

Check it out!

Two days ago, I decided to start giving Zoe solid foods. They recommended me to start when she is 6 months old, but she will be in 2 weeks anyways. I felt that she was ready for it. I noticed for a while now that she was starting to become more interested in what we’re eating. She would try to grab my food whenever I eat. And she also makes chewing motions that I find adorable.

I gave her some Heinz Rice Cereal since I received a sample of it from the mail. The nurse said to start her off with rice cereal so that’s exactly what I did. And wow, she really enjoyed it! After feeding her, she went right to sleep. My baby is growing up! =)

Here is a video of Zoe having her first solid food. I just had to share it for everyone to see. I am so proud of my little girl. I almost wasn’t able to upload this because I have been having some computer problems lately. I keep receiving a video card error and Josh said I need to update my driver. I will do that and defragment my hard drives soon. lol

So I was just on CafeMom today and saw some pictures of babies with their ears pierced. I want to get Zoe’s ears pierced soon so that she can be easily identified as a girl. I am tired of people thinking that she is a boy even if she is wearing pink. As a baby myself I was pierced when I was a newborn! Right when I came out of my mother’s womb… I guess it’s because that was the trend in the Philippines? I think it still is, I’m not sure. The only thing I am concerned about is that I am afraid of her getting an ear infection and keloids! I would be so guilty if she gets it! I have to talk to her pediatrician about it before I decide too quickly. Josh thinks it might be too early to do that, but I guess the best thing to do is to find out from the doctor.

Zoe will be officially 5 months old tomorrow at 4pm. Yay! She is growing up too fast.

I’m so blessed to have these two people in my life. I love you Josh and Zoe.

We spent our 3rd year anniversary at the mall and afterward we had another nice steak dinner. It was a good thing that he finished grilling before it rained again. I enjoy cooking with him. ;) I can’t wait to be his wife! Just 4 more months to go!

Thought I’d share this video. I didn’t edit it out, so it’s kinda long. Someday I want to put together a bunch of video clips for my daughter since I do enjoy video editing. But here’s something that I recorded just yesterday. Zoe is becoming quite the talker.
