My husband thinks I always have to be obsessed with something. He says that I have gone through so many different obsessions. At one point, I was obsessed with the Backstreet Boys. Then writing fanfictions… and then Final Fantasy… then comes The Sims 2, producing Vanity High. And then, there’s scrapbooking. He says right now, my current obsession is baking/cake decorating. He says he’s going to give me about a year and see how interested I am on baking and cake decorating.
I don’t know… Every time I am interested in something and go after it, I put my heart and soul into it. I dedicate a lot of my time towards a certain interest. I’m a passionate person. Also, I love to try new things. I want to see if I’m able to do it or not. I’m a Jill of all trades!
Not sure if I like to be called that, but it’s kind of true. I already told my husband what I would like to try after cake decorating. I want to do beading and sewing next. But right now, cake decorating is number one in my hobby list. He thinks I should stop accumulating hobbies! I am also hoping that I stick to baking and cake decorating for a really long time. I believe that it’s one of the more useful hobbies that I have ever acquired. Not only I get to be creative, but I get to share what I made with other people and they enjoy it! I really have high hopes. I think that I’m going to be baking and cake decorating for a really really long time. But then again, we shall see.

Your cake looks very very good. I love it. There’s nothing wrong with accumulating hobbies in my opinion. They become very useful later on.

We have a few things in common. The first one and most important is our savior. I also have a husband who thinks I try something new every other month. He says I don’t stick to anything. I’m just trying to find what I’m good at. I love anything creative and I love to get information. I want to make my own jewelry, but I have yet to get him to go for that. He’s ok with my hobbies as long as he dosen’t have to invest to much. He encourages me to write because its free and I love writing. He is still convinced my blog is a phase and he’s waiting on me to move on anyday. Hey maybe I should try cake decorating lol! If he heard that he would be laughing. Guess we have to find something we are really good at and prove them wrong. Oh yeah and I too am a stay at home mom, I have 3 boys.

@lindsie: Hey Lindsie, thank you! I love baking, but I really only bake cakes! lol… I have yet to try to bake a bread. lol… I find time when they are sleeping or I wake up really early to work on my cakes. Also, my husband is nice enough to watch the kids for me while I work.
I tried the Sims 3, but I haven’t played it much. hehe, I want to try lots of other games but I have no time… =(

@Charris: Hi Charris! First off, I really like your name. Wow 3 boys huh? You sound like a busy mom already. I want to stop at 2 kids (for now anyways)… I also want to make my own jewelry. I heard that if you go to your local beads store, they usually offer beading classes. I already found a place here that offers jewelry making. Those classes can get costly too! Let me know when you sign up for cake decorating and make sure you post pictures of your cakes!

That’s true about the jewelry, I have a bead shop down the street. I think they offer classes but I never checked on it. I do think they are costly. I have ordered a couple of free bead catologs from the interet to get a feel for what I want. I also forgot to mention that I am 27 also. I wanted to stop at two kids, but I kept trying for that girl

@Charris: Aww, we have so much in common, Charris! By the way, I was just at Michaels a few days ago and I was looking at all their beading supplies, tools, and books, etc… and OMG, they are very expensive! But I still want to take classes. I wish we could take these classes together. No one wants to take it with me here… lol…
